41st Annual Observance of Harry S. Truman's Birthday Harry S. Truman Library 500 W. U.S. 24 Highway Independence, Missouri Thursday, May 8th, 2014
The MOSSAR Color Guard conducted the 41st Annual Observance of President Harry S. Truman's birthday at the Harry S. Truman Library in Independence, MO on Thursday, May 8th, 2014 at 9:30 AM. In observance of this occasion, the Truman Library and Museum, and several area Truman-related organizations celebrated the 130th birthday (May 8, 1884) of the area's most famous citizen, Harry S. Truman. In observance of President Truman's Birthday, the Harry S. Truman Library honored Truman's memory and celebrated his many accomplishments. Representatives from over 55 local organizations presented wreaths at the Truman grave site during the special ceremony in the Library's courtyard.
