The MOSSAR Color Guard conducted the 40th Annual Observance of President Harry S. Truman's birthday at the Harry S. Truman Library in Independence, MO on Wednesday, May 8th, 2013 at 9:30 AM. In observance of this occasion, the Truman Library and Museum, and several area Truman-related organizations celebrated the 129th birthday (May 8, 1884) of the area's most famous citizen, Harry S. Truman. In observance of President Truman's Birthday, Dr. Devine honored Truman's memory and celebrated his many accomplishments. Representatives from over 52 local organizations presented wreaths at the Truman gravesite during the special ceremony in the Library's courtyard.
