Memorial Day 2011 Union Cemetery Kansas City, MO Monday, May 30, 2011
Union Cemetery originated in 1857. The new cemetery was located between Westport and the town of Kansas City and was to be used by both towns, becoming a "union" between the two. This is how Union Cemetery got its name.
The MOSSAR Color Guard team participated in a Memorial Day event located at Union Cemetery in Kansas City, MO. The MOSSAR Color Guard Teams pays tribute to all veterans buried at Union Cemetery from the American Revolutionary War through the Vietnam conflict.
