315th Meeting Harry S. Truman Chapter Independence, Missouri Saturday, September 10, 2011
The Harry S. Truman Chapter inducted Compatriot Barry Skelton into the ranks at the 315th Meeting on Saturday, September 10, 2011. President Dirk A. Stapleton and the Harry S. Truman Chapter Color Guard officiated during the ceremony. President Dirk Stapleton presented Compatriot Skelton with his membership oath and membership certificate. Barry's father, Compatriot John Mark Skelton, also participated in the ceremony. In addition, as Compatriot Skelton’s sponsor, Compatriot Robert L. Grover also participated in the ceremony too. At the closing of the ceremony, Compatriot Skelton also received his Harry S. Truman Chapter Coin. All Harry S. Truman Chapter members congratulated Compatriots Barry Skelton after the induction ceremony.
Compatriot Barry Skelton stated that he was very proud about being installed into the SAR. Also after the ceremony, each Compatriot was given a chance to tell us about their Patriot Ancestor.
