317th Meeting Harry S. Truman Chapter Independence, Missouri Saturday, November 12, 2011
The Harry S. Truman Chapter inducted Compatriot Timothy Robert Marks into the ranks at the 317th Meeting on Saturday, November 12, 2011. President Dirk A. Stapleton and the Harry S. Truman Chapter Color Guard officiated during the ceremony. President Dirk Stapleton presented Compatriot Timothy Marks with his membership oath and membership certificate. Timothy's father, Compatriot Perry Dean “Bud” Marks, also participated in the ceremony as his sponsor too. At the closing of the ceremony, Compatriot Timothy Marks also received his Harry S. Truman Chapter Coin. All Harry S. Truman Chapter members congratulated Compatriot Timothy Marks after the induction ceremony.
Compatriot Timothy Marks stated that he was very proud about being installed into the SAR. Also after the ceremony, Compatriot Timothy Marks was given a chance to tell us about his Patriot Ancestor, William Rippeto.
