294th Meeting Harry S. Truman Chapter Independence, Missouri Saturday, November 14, 2009
The Harry S. Truman Chapter inducted Addison Lawton into their ranks at the 294th Meeting on Saturday, November 14, 2009. Both President Dirk A. Stapleton and the Harry S. Truman Chapter Color Guard officiated during the ceremony. Compatriot David McCann (Sponsor) and Compatriot Romie Carr (Co-Sponsor) also participated in the ceremony. All Harry S. Truman Chapter members congratulated Compatriot Lawton after the ceremony.
Compatriot Lawton stated that he was very proud about being installed into the SAR. Also after the ceremony, Compatriot Lawton was given a chance to tell us about his Patriot Ancestor, and he again did so with great pride and had a couple of things to say about Comfort Redway. We are so pleased that he was able to join us and celebrate and honor our ancestors that gave so much to give us this great country. Again he appeared to be very proud as can be seen in the pictures.
