President Robert L. Grover and the Harry S. Truman Color Guard, are shown here conducting a New Member Induction for Compatriot Eric Munson, who was inducted into the SAR for his ancestor Patriot Abraham Van Horn, Sr. Patriot Van Horn was an Issuing forage-master, and in 1782 was a Private in Captain Richard Stillwells' Company of the New Jersey Militia. Compatriot Munson was presented with his membership certificate, membership rosette, chapter challenge coin, and welcome packet by President Robert L. Grover and sponsor Compatriot Roy Hutchinson. All Harry S. Truman Chapter members congratulated Compatriot Eric Munson after the induction ceremony.
Compatriot Eric Munson stated that he was very proud about being installed into the SAR. Also after the ceremony, Compatriot Munson was given a chance to tell us about his Patriot Abraham Van Horn, Sr.
