336th Meeting Harry S. Truman Chapter Independence, Missouri Saturday, June 8, 2013
The Harry S. Truman Chapter inducted Compatriot Gerald Donald Kelsay into the ranks at the 336th Meeting on Saturday, June 8, 2013. President Donald Lewis and the Harry S. Truman Chapter Color Guard officiated during the ceremony. President Donald Lewis presented Compatriot Kelsay with his membership oath and membership certificate. As his sponsor, Compatriot Robert Grover pinned the NSSAR Rosette to Compatriot Kelsay 's lapel. At the closing of the ceremony, Compatriot Kelsay also received his Harry S. Truman Chapter Coin. All Harry S. Truman Chapter members congratulated Compatriot Gerald Donald Kelsay after the induction ceremony.
Compatriot Kelsay stated that he was very proud about being installed into the SAR. Also after the ceremony, Compatriot Kelsay was given a chance to tell us about his Patriot Ancestor, John Sidebottom.
