Harry S. Truman Chapter Meeting 284th Meeting Independence, MO January 10, 2009
The Harry S. Truman Chapter Color Guard is shown here presenting a Certificate of Appreciation to Janett Miller of Lee’s Summit, MO. Janett Miller, as guest speaker, received this certificate at the 284th Harry S, Truman meeting on January 10, 2009.
As the guest speaker, Janett Miller presented a program on the “The Rose of Arlington; the Life Story of Mrs. Robert E. Lee.” Janett Miller presents a variety of programs on the history of our country and the women that played important roles in American History. She has served as the State Historian and State Corresponding Secretary for the Missouri State Society DAR and has held several state chairmanships. She is currently the Missouri Bluebird Co-chairman arranging for the Missouri Daughters trips in 2009 and 2010 to the DAR Continental Congress in Washington, DC. Janett has been a member of the President General’s Speakers Staff for the National Society DAR and the Missouri State Regent’s Speakers Staff for the past fifteen years. She has authored several family genealogies and belongs to a number of Genealogical, Patriotic and Historical Societies. She and her husband, Delbert, live in Lee’s Summit and have two married children.
