318th Meeting Harry S. Truman Chapter Independence, Missouri Saturday, December 10, 2011
The Harry S. Truman Chapter inducted new Compatriots Carlin Talcott and Michael Talcott into the ranks at the 318th Meeting on Saturday, December 10, 2011. President Dirk A. Stapleton and the Harry S. Truman Chapter Color Guard officiated during the ceremony. President Dirk Stapleton presented Compatriot Carlin Talcott and Michael Talcott with their membership oath and membership certificates. Compatriot George DeLapp also participated in the ceremony as the sponsor of both gentlemen. Compatriot George DeLapp pinned Compatriot Carlin Talcott's rosette on his lapel. Erin Talcott, wife of Compatriot Michael Talcott, pinned his rosette on his lapel. At the closing of the ceremony, Compatriots Carlin Talcott and Michael Talcott also received their Harry S. Truman Chapter Coin. All Harry S. Truman Chapter members congratulated Compatriots Carlin Talcott and Michael Talcott after the induction ceremony.
Compatriots Carlin Talcott and Michael Talcott stated that they were very proud about being installed into the SAR. Also after the ceremony, Compatriots Carlin Talcott and Michael Talcott were given a chance to tell us about his Patriot Ancestor, Joseph Talcott.
