318th Meeting Harry S. Truman Chapter Independence, Missouri Saturday, December 10, 2011
The Harry S. Truman Chapter inducted Compatriot Perry Dean Marks, Sr. into the ranks at the 318th Meeting on Saturday, December 10, 2011. President Dirk A. Stapleton and the Harry S. Truman Chapter Color Guard officiated during the ceremony. President Dirk Stapleton presented Compatriot Perry Dean Marks, Sr. with his membership oath and membership certificate. Compatriot Perry Dean “Bud” Marks, Jr., son of Compatriot Perry Dean Marks, Sr., and grandson Compatriot Timothy Marks, also participated in the ceremony. Compatriot Perry Dean “Bud” Marks, Jr. was his sponsor too. At the closing of the ceremony, Compatriot Perry Dean Marks, Sr. also received his Harry S. Truman Chapter Coin. All Harry S. Truman Chapter members congratulated Compatriot Perry Dean Marks, Sr. after the induction ceremony.
Compatriot Perry Dean Marks, Sr. stated that he was very proud about being installed into the SAR. Also after the ceremony, Compatriot Marks was given a chance to tell us about his Patriot Ancestor, William Rippeto.
