Vice President Robert Grover and the Harry S. Truman Color Guard, are shown here presenting Mr. James A. Everett. who was our guest speaker at the April 12, 2014 meeting, with a Certificate of Appreciation and a Harry S. Truman Chapter Coin. Mr. Everett’s topic was on the The Making and Breaking of an American Spy.
Mr.Everett. is the author of The Making and Breaking of an American Spy. This is an autobiographical work. Mr. Everett is a retired long term CEO of a Kansas City service firm. He served eight years as Executive Director of Kansas City Interfaith Peace Alliance. He has a Masters of Art in International Relations from the University of Chicago. He served 15 years abroad as a deep cover agent for the Central Intelligence agency. His cover was blown in the Congressional hearings investigating the Watergate scandal. He has been recognized with numerous awards, including Kansas City, Missouri's International Citizen of the Year Award, and the Crescent Peace Society's Annual Peace Award. Mr. Everett talked about his service with the CIA.
