President Donald Lewis and the Harry S. Truman Color Guard, are shown here presenting Compatriot Christopher Vedder with a Supplemental Certificate on Saturday, April 13, 2013, on his patriot ancestor, Patriot Private John Scruggs. Private John Scruggs is Compatriot Christopher Vedder's sixth Great Grandfather, who was born in 1738 and died January 1st, 1778 at Valley Forge (Captain Mountjoy's Company 10th VA Regiment). Private Scruggs fought with George Washington's Army at Brandywine and Germantown, before succumbing to illness in the Winter of 1777-1778. Congratulations to Compatriot Vedder!
