John Samuel Majors, Jr. Grave Marker - Watkins Mill Cemetery located at 17000 Endsley Road, Kearney, Clay County, Missouri, which is in the Watkins Mill State Park.
 
Patriot John Samuel Majors, Jr. assisted in establishing American Independence as a Private in Capt Goode and Locke’s Company, Col Joseph William’s Regiment, North Carolina Militia.  His service is documented in his pension application S16944 at the U.S. National Archives & Records Administration.  He applied for and received a pension for his military service, filed on 24 September 1832 in Wayne County, Kentucky. 
 
John was born 22 April 1759 in Baltimore, Maryland and died 27 December 1844 in Clay County, Missouri.  He is buried at the Watkins Mill Cemetery located at 17000 Endsley Road, Kearney, Clay County, Missouri, which is in the Watkins Mill State Park.
