William Boydston Grave Marker -  Faubion Chapel Cemetery, Gladstone, Clay County, Missouri.
 
William Boydston assisted in establishing American Independence as a Private in Capt Allison, Daugherty, and Patton’s Company; Col Robertson, Col Sevier, and Gen Marion’s Regiment of the Virginia Militia.  William’s service is documented in his pension application S3041 with the U.S. National Archives & Records Administration.  For his military service, William received a 200 acre land grant in Cooke County, Tennessee.  The DAR chapter in Gladstone, Missouri is named for this patriot.

William was born 24 Mar 1753 in Frederick County, Maryland and died December 1838 in Buchanan County, Missouri.  He is buried in Faubion Cemetery located at Kranz Road and NW 72nd Street, Gladstone, Clay County, Missouri.
