Revolutionary War Patriot Richard Simms, was a member of the 3rd Virginia Regiment during the American Revolution. In addition, Dr. Christian Sizemore, President of the William C. Coruum Chapter, William C. Coruum Chapter members, and family of Revolutionary War Patriot Richard Simms also attended this ceremony.
