The watermelon was obliterated into small pieces with one shot from a musket. It was quite an event and all of the children and adults really enjoyed this event. On behalf of the Society, Anna DeVenney presented Captain Scott with a signed copy of the book Centennial Plus One: the Centennial History of the Children of the American Revolution, by Elenore Smallwood Niebel, as gift in his honor for the Independence Patriots SAR. Also, thanks to Aaron and Christy Waller of Lone Jack, MO for hosting this event.
