Pictured here is the MOSSAR Color Guard team during the New Brunswick Pecan Festival on October 3, 2009.  New Brunswick , MO is the Pecan Capital of Missouri and the Home of the World's Largest Pecan - just three miles east of Brunswick is a really giant pecan. It is a replica of the Starking Hardy Giant Pecan discovered in 1955 by George James.

Pictured here is the MOSSAR Color Guard team during the New Brunswick Pecan Festival on October 3, 2009. New Brunswick , MO is the Pecan Capital of Missouri and the Home of the World's Largest Pecan - just three miles east of Brunswick is a really giant pecan. It is a replica of the Starking Hardy Giant Pecan discovered in 1955 by George James. This "replica" is 7 feet in diameter and 12 feet long. It weights about 12,000 pounds! It was built by James Pecan Farms, Inc. The Pecan Festival is held annually each October.
