Pictured is the distinguished guest Congressman Emanuel Cleaver II, with Compatriot Romie Carr, and the MOSSAR Color Guard Team on Veterans Day 2009. Compatriot Romie Carr, who is a Vietnam veteran, and on behalf of MOSSAR, presented the SAR Silver Good Citizenship Medal to U.S. Representative Emanuel Cleaver. This award was in recognition of the outstanding program that the Congressman sponsored at the Harry S. Truman Library in September 2009 honoring the Vietnam Veterans.

Congressman Cleaver is currently serving in the United States House of Representatives in Missouri's Fifth District. The MOSSAR Color Guard team participated in the Veterans Day event located at the Vietnam Memorial in Kansas City, Missouri which honors veterans of the Vietnam conflict.
