The guest speaker at the February 14, 2015 Harry S. Truman Chapter meeting was Mr. Kevin Fewell, President of the Union Cemetery Historical Society. His topic was on the History of the Union Cemetery.

Union Cemetery in Kansas City, MO serves as the final rest­ing place for some of the area’s early pioneers, civic leaders and veterans. Founded in 1857, Union Cemetery, located just south of Crown Center and east of the Liberty Memorial, is the final resting place for many of those who founded and developed the towns of Westport and Kansas City. The fa­mous and infamous rest here. Veterans from every war from the Revolution to Vietnam are buried here, including those who fought for both sides during the Civil War. live rest here.
