Isaac Drake assisted in establishing American Independence as a Private in Capt. Hendrix’ Company, 1st Essex County Regiment, New Jersey Militia.  Isaac’s service is documented with the New Jersey state archives collection. 
 
 
Isaac was born in February 1764, Morristown, Morris County, New Jersey and died 27 January 1837 in Jackson County, Missouri. He is buried at the Drake Family Cemetery, Jackson County, Missouri, which is located on private property at 3425 North Perrin Road, Independence, Jackson County, Missouri.
